Accra is the capital of Ghana and the cultural heart of West Africa. It was the first Sub-Saharan African country to gain independence from colonial powers, and it continues to lead the way for change and innovation on the continent. It’s the perfect gateway into the Gold Coast. You will be able to experience everything from traditional cuisine, shopping in local markets, learning history, and experiencing the beauty of the Cape Coast.

You made it! Your private transport will take you safely to our guest house in the lively neighborhood of Kokomlemle. We’ll spend the first day exploring the neighborhood, meeting the group, enjoying our welcome dinner experience at an upscale, yet traditional Ghanian restaurant.

DAY 2: Elmina Castle, Fort San Jago, Posuban Shrines, Fishing Harbor

Depart to Elmina, tour the UNESCO World Heritage Site of St. George Castle. A monument to the era of the slave trade and how it ruined Africa. We’ll visit the busy fishing lagoon in central Elmina to examine the daily catch and relax by the beach at the end of the day. We’ll spend the night at a beachside resort.

DAY 3: Kakum Park, Stingless Bees, Birds, Crocodiles, Beach Village, Fort William

After breakfast we’ll depart for West Africa’s highest rainforest canopy walkway at Kakum National Park. We’ll continue on to the fishing village of Anomabu and tour the smaller Fort William. We’ll enjoy a scenic coastal drive back to Accra and everyone will be free to relax or explore nightlife.

DAY 4: Street Food, VIP Night Out

In the afternoon our local expert will take us on a street food tour around Accra. You’ll be free to explore the rest of the day, until we all come together for a VIP night out to one of Ghana’s hottest nightclubs.

DAY 5: Brews With Locals

In the afternoon we’ll head to neighborhood bar and have Brews With Locals. You’ll be able to meet young professionals who live in Ghana and learn more about what it’s like to live in the city. You’ll have the rest of the day to chill, site-see, or connect with each other.

DAY 6: Village & Coffee Tour

We’ll spend the day visiting a nearby coffee farm and village. You will get to meet locals and experience other ways of life in Ghana. In the evening we will have a dining experience with a local Ghanian family and enjoy our final evening together as a group

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. Use today to do some last minute sightseeing or souvenir shopping. Make sure to get that perfect photo, eat one more plate of Jollof Rice, and get a picture at the Ghana Blackstar Monument. It may seem like your time in Accra flew by, but the memories and friendships you’ve made will last forever.
